Forging Connections

Connections: Membership

Connections is a dedicated membership scheme for Durham and Sunderland schools providing arts provision in education settings enabling opportunities for mass participation in arts activity.

The Connections membership scheme is an easy way for your school to access a range of high quality arts activity helping you to embed arts activity into the curriculum.

We rely on your feedback to help us develop our programmes, please contact Fiona Melvin or 01207 284 515 with your feedback or any questions.

What is Connections?

  • An exciting creative membership scheme managed by The Forge, the specialist participatory arts organisation for County Durham and Sunderland
  • Thanks to investment by Sunderland City Council, Durham County Council and The Forge, a heavily subsidised scheme will be available to you between September 2009 and July 2010 that will only cost from £350 for a package of creative activity
  • This year for the first time, we are able to offer schools the opportunity to have an Artist resident in their school for one or two days - the choice is yours! See the Information Sheet and Registration Form for more details
  • If you take full advantage of the school, you will receive a package of activity worth over £1,300 from only £350 - Connections is fantastic value for money!

Connections provides:

  • Support with applications to Artsmark
  • Up to two Artist in Residence days organised by The Forge in partnership with you
  • Networking opportunities
  • Access to a competitive grant scheme so you can plan and deliver your own arts project in school
  • Ongoing news, updates and support

For more information, please refer to the Information sheet. To join, please complete the Registration Form. Schools who were members in 2008/09 only need to complete part of the form.
